Personal Description
Before joining the group at Birmingham, Neeraj completed a BSc in Biochemistry at Leeds University where he performed a research project investigating the effect of lipocalin 1 and 3 (an ion channel) in E-coli. He also holds an MSc in Applied bio molecular Technology from Nottingham University. Neeraj Joined the Grover group in 2008 as a PhD student sponsored by Alliance Boots, developing and characterising a yeast extract produced using subcritical water and using human dermal fibroblasts as a screening model. The ultimate aim was to produce a novel and sustainable active ingredient for the cosmetic industry. Neeraj was appointed as a research fellow in the group in 2013, working on a ORUK funded project to develop a bone to bone tissue replacement.
